
Dr. Minsoo Kim is a board-certified neurologist specializing in neuromuscular medicine. After earning his medical degree from the Medical School for International Health (a collaboration between Ben-Gurion University in Israel and Columbia University), he completed a Neurology Residency at Saint Louis University, followed by a Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.
His professional journey has taken him from Washington to Ohio and then to Reston, Virginia, where he recently practiced at the Virginia Spine Institute. With extensive training and experience across diverse clinical settings, Dr. Kim is skilled in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyography (EMG), Botox injections, and management of complex neuromuscular disorders.
Dr. Kim’s research and clinical interests are showcased in multiple peer-reviewed publications and posters, particularly relating to small fiber neuropathy in pediatric populations. Dr. Kim served as a sub-investigator in five clinical trials that involved ALS, CMT, FSHD, inflammatory myositis, and dermatomyositis. He has coauthored articles in the Journal of Clinical Neuromuscular Disease and presented his work at esteemed conferences such as the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
