How ANA is keeping you safe

One of our physicians was called to the bedside of a person who had a stroke. He and his family had delayed going to the hospital due to fear of contracting the coronavirus. Due to the delay, it was too late to give the patient a medication to break up the clot in the brain, resulting in severe permanent damage.

When fear leads, paralysis by analysis follows.

We understand the fear of exposure to coronavirus. Any exposure is a risk. At the same time, we have to ensure that all patients continue to receive neurological care. In the interest of your safety and well-being, we’ve changed the way we handle appointments.

In neurology, subtle symptoms can be the start of serious problems. Please do not let fear of COVID-19 prevent you from getting needed care. We are here for you.

At Abington Neurological Associates, we are still scheduling new appointments. Your health is our top priority and we want to ensure that you are accessing — and not delaying — the care you need.

In-person care, delivered safely

It’s only natural to feel anxious about visiting a physician in person while, at the same time, being advised to practice social distancing. Be assured that as medical professionals, we are always ensuring that we deliver compassionate, high-quality, and safe care under any circumstances.

Our physicians are here to provide the same excellent care you’ve come to know and trust. Things may look different under today’s circumstances, but what hasn’t changed is our commitment to delivering safe care.

To keep you safe, we have implemented the following policies:

Screening

Patients and staff have their temperatures taken when they enter the building.

Cleaning

Any equipment or surfaces that come in contact with patients or staff are cleaned multiple times daily.

Protecting

Our doctors and staff members wear protective masks at all times.
